Ever added some feature to a game and wondered why?

Well, this will stop you from doing that. With this design system, you must designate the end result you want, which is some state of mind or reaction from the player that makes the experience enjoyable, and then think about what actions they do in the game that brings out that reaction or emotion. Only then do you look at those actions and determine which mechanics are necessary to facilitate those actions. If the player is in combat, you need mechanics for combat. The more specific this step is, the better.

You'll also notice that when saving, there is a "human readable" output as well as the code. If you read through this and it makes no sense, your design doesn't make sense either ;)
